Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and Hotel Transfer
Upon your arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, BG Travel will host a welcome dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 02: Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Kathmandu’s historical and spiritual landmarks, including the UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Durbar Square, the sacred Pashupati Nath temple, Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and Bouddhanath Stupa, one of the largest in the world. In the afternoon, you’ll meet with your trek leader and fellow trekkers for a pre-trip discussion, where you’ll receive all the necessary details for your trek. The night will be spent in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Drive to Arughat (640m) – 8 hrs
In the early morning, we will drive to Arughat, the starting point of our trek. The journey includes a comfortable 3.5-hour drive to Dhading Bensi, followed by a 4-hour ride along a bumpy, winding dirt road to Arughat. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 04: Trek to Soti Khola (775m) – 5 hrs
We follow the Budhi Gandaki River, passing through the villages of Morder and Simre, before reaching the Arkhat River. The ascent to Kyoropani is gradual, and we camp near the Seti River’s confluence for a refreshing water bath. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 05: Trek to Machha Khola (900m) – 5.5 hrs
The trail gradually descends and ascends, passing through the Almara ridge and a forested trail to reach Riden Gaon. We continue towards Lambesi, where the trail descends to the Budhi Gandaki riverbed. The night will be spent at Machha River in tented camps or lodges.
Day 06: Trek to Jagat (1,340m) – 6 hrs
We cross Machha River and head to Tatopani, a hot spring, before continuing through a forest to Dovan. The valley narrows as we ascend, with the river below. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 07: Trek to Filim (1,610m) – 4 hrs
We ascend a terraced hill in Saguleri, offering views of Sringi Himal (7,177m). We continue to Sirish Gaon, where the Gandaki valley narrows. The night will be spent in tented camps or lodges.
Day 08: Trek to Bihi (1,990m) – 6 hrs
We follow the Deng River upstream, passing a small village, and walk through a newly built rock tunnel to avoid the steep climb to Ghap. Tibetan culture is evident in the Mani stones and chortens. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 09: Trek to Lihi (2,920m) – 6 hrs
We cross the wooden bridge over Budhi Gandaki, passing cultivated fields and houses. At Namru, we cross the Hinan River and continue towards Sho, where the views of Naike Peak, Manaslu North (7,774m), and Manaslu (8,150m) are stunning. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 10: Trek to Samagompa (3,500m) – 6 hrs
After Lho, we pass the stone gate and the long Mani stone wall, with a full view of Peak 29. A side excursion to Pungen Glacier provides an up-close view of Manaslu. We continue along the moraine of Pungen Glacier to Sama, where we’ll stay at Sama Gompa. Overnight in tented camps or lodges.
Day 11: Rest Day at Samagaun for Acclimatization
Take a day to acclimatize to the altitude. You can visit Birendra Tal, a beautiful glacier lake, and explore the oldest monasteries. There is also the option to trek to Manaslu Base Camp and return to Samagaun (an 8-hour round trip).
Day 12: Trek to Samdo (4,500m) – 4 hrs
Today, we climb a terraced hill opposite the Budhi Gandaki River to reach Samdo, the most remote permanent settlement, with around 200 villagers. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 13: Acclimatization Day in Samdo
We spend a day acclimatizing to the higher altitude. You may take a day trip to the Tibet Border and return to Samdo for an overnight stay. This day trip takes around 8 hours. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 14: Trek from Samdo to Dharamsala (4,460m) – 4 hrs
Explore the surrounding area and spend the night in a tented camp or lodge.
Day 15: Cross Larkya La (5,215m) and Trek to Bhimphedi (3,590m) – 8 hrs
We ascend towards Cho Chanda, then steeply uphill to the snow-covered Larkya La Pass. From the top, enjoy magnificent views of Himlung Himal (7,126m), Cheo Himal (6,820m), Gyagi Kung, Kang Kuru (6,981m), and Annapurna II (7,937m). After the pass, we descend steeply to Bhimphedi. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 16: Trek to Tilje (3,900m) – 5 hrs
The trail becomes gentler as we climb through paddy fields and then descend through fig tree and rhododendron forests to Tilje. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 17: Trek to Tal (1,725m) – 5 hrs
We follow the trail downstream along the Marshyangdi River, passing through villages until we reach Tal village. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 18: Trek to Jagat (1,300m) – 5 hrs
The trail continues gently downstream along the river, passing through Chamje and Himal Pani. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 19: Trek to Baundanda (1,275m) – 5 hrs
We ascend for 30 minutes, then gently descend to Sanjee village, followed by a 15-minute ascent to Gharmuu Phant. Afterward, a 2-hour easy walk and a 30-minute ascent take us to Bahundanda village. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 20: Trek to Beshisahar – 5 hrs
We continue downstream along the Marshyangdi River, passing through Bhulbhule and Khudi, arriving at Besisahar. Overnight accommodation will be in tented camps or lodges.
Day 21: Drive Back to Kathmandu by Public or Private Bus – 7 hrs
After 7-hour drive will take us back to Kathmandu, where you’ll stay overnight at a hotel.
Day 22: Rest and Shopping Day in Kathmandu
Enjoy a day of relaxation or shopping in Kathmandu.
Day 23: Departure
You’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight back to your home country.
