Chulu West Peak

22 Days

Chulu West Peak Climbing, at 6419 meters, offers one of Nepal’s most demanding climbing experiences for peaks below 6500 meters. This ascent is technically challenging and requires climbers to have significant prior experience, including skill in handling climbing equipment like crampons for snow and ice, as well as expertise in using fixed and dynamic ropes. Climbers must also be in excellent physical condition due to the technical nature of the climb, which involves navigating both rock and ice sections.

Situated in the Annapurna Region above the village of Manang, Chulu West Peak offers a thrilling and memorable climbing adventure. The summit rewards climbers with a spectacular panoramic view of the Himalayan range, stretching all the way into the remote Tibetan wilderness to the north. Surrounded by snow and ice, the peak provides stunning views of the Annapurna Range, including the iconic Machapuchare (Fishtail), all five Annapurna peaks (I-V), Gangapurna, and Dhaulagiri to the south. Additionally, the summit offers incredible views of Mount Manaslu, creating a truly awe-inspiring experience.
