Detail Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu [1400 m]
Upon arriving at Kathmandu Airport (KTM), our representative will meet you and escort you to your hotel. After checking in, you can relax, explore the city, or visit our office, depending on your preference and condition. In the evening, we’ll host a Welcome Dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant, where you can enjoy a cultural program and a delicious meal.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour of Kathmandu’s historical and spiritual landmarks, including World Heritage Sites such as Durbar Square, the Hindu temple Pashupatinath, the famous Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath), and the Buddha Stupa (Boudhanath). In the afternoon, a pre-trip meeting will take place where you’ll meet the trek leader and your fellow trekkers. This session will brief you on the upcoming adventure and allow you to ask any questions.
Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Beni (850m)
Your Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek begins with a scenic drive to Pokhara in the morning, passing rivers, waterfalls, lush hills, and vibrant settlements. After a short stop in Pokhara, continue to Beni, a picturesque town where the Kali Gandaki and Myagdi Khola rivers meet. You’ll stay overnight in Beni.
Day 04: Trek from Beni to Babiachaur (950m)
The second day of trekking begins as you follow the north bank of the Myagdi Khola, crossing suspension bridges and passing villages like Beni Mangalghat, Singa, and Tatopani. After crossing two bridges at Simalchaur, you’ll reach Babiachaur after an hour’s walk.
Day 05: Trek from Babiachaur to Dharapani (1,400m)
Today’s trek offers a relatively flat trail that takes you through terraced hills, crossing the Duk River and reaching Ratorunga’s farming fields. The route narrows as you ascend to Dharapani, a village with breathtaking views, after a 6-7 hour trek.
Day 06: Trek from Dharapani to Muri (1,800m)
Continuing uphill across terraced farms, you’ll reach the Magar village of Takam. From there, pass through Sibang Village and Mattim before descending to Gatti Khola. You’ll then ascend towards Muri, where you’ll stay overnight in this large village with views of Gurja Himal and Dhaulagiri.
Day 07: Trek from Muri to Boghara (2,080m)
Descend through steep trails, passing Naura Village, then ascend through zigzagging paths to reach Boghara. This 5-hour trek rewards you with stunning views of Manapathi Peak, Gurja Himal, and Dhaulagiri I.
Day 08: Trek from Boghara to Dobang (2,520m)
This day takes you through a scenic forested trail alongside the Myagdi Khola. Continue on an ascending route, crossing rocky areas, until you reach Dobang after a 5-hour trek.
Day 09: Trek from Dobang to Choriban Khola (3,110m)
Today’s journey brings you through dense forests and pasture lands, crossing a bridge over Myagdi Khola. After a steep climb and passing landslide-prone areas, you’ll arrive at Choriban Khola after 5 hours.
Day 10: Trek from Choriban Khola to Italian Base Camp (3,660m)
The trek today takes you across the Chhonbarban Glacier, entering alpine terrain. The route to the Italian Base Camp offers exceptional views of Dhaulagiri I and Tukuche Peak. After 6-7 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at the base camp for stunning views.
Day 11: Acclimatization and Exploration Day at Italian Base Camp
This day is dedicated to acclimatization. You can take short hikes around the base camp, explore lateral moraines, and enjoy views of Dhaulagiri’s west face and blue sheep grazing on the cliffs.
Day 12: Trek from Italian Base Camp to Glacier Camp (4,210m)
This challenging day involves traversing rocky and steep sections to reach the Swiss Base Camp. You’ll continue across moraine paths before finally reaching the Glacier Camp after a 6-7 hour trek. The panoramic views of the Chhongardan Glacier and Himalayan peaks are breathtaking.
Day 13: Trek from Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,740m)
Today, the main goal of the trek is reached: Dhaulagiri Base Camp. Ascend across the glacier moraine and enjoy panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri and Tukuche Peaks. This 7-hour trek offers incredible vistas of the entire Dhaulagiri range and icefalls adorned with prayer flags.
Day 14: Acclimatization Day at Dhaulagiri Base Camp
A second acclimatization day allows you to rest, take short hikes, and enjoy sunrise views. This is an opportunity to reflect and capture stunning photographs of the Himalayan peaks.
Day 15: Trek from Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden Valley (5,200m) via French Pass (5,360m)
This day features a challenging trek across the French Pass (5,360m), one of the highest passes in the Himalayas. After a slow ascent and taking in panoramic views, descend to Hidden Valley, where you’ll camp in a grassy meadow.
Day 16: Trek from Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka (3,680m) via Dhampus Pass (5,240m)
Crossing the Dhampus Pass (5,240m), you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Tukuche Peak, Dhampus Peak, and the Annapurna Massif before descending to Yak Kharka, where you’ll camp.
Day 17: Trek from Yak Kharka to Marpha (2,670m)
Descending through lush forests of rhododendrons and pines, you’ll reach Marpha after a 5-hour trek. This charming town, known for monasteries and apple orchards, is also famous for its Marpha Brandy.
Day 18: Drive from Marpha to Pokhara (830m)
The journey continues with a scenic 7-hour drive to Pokhara, where you can explore the city and enjoy the views of Machapuchare and Annapurna II.
Day 19: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (1,400m)
Return to Kathmandu after a scenic 8-hour drive along the Prithvi Highway. You’ll have time to explore the city’s vibrant markets and cultural sites before your flight home.
Day 20: Fly Home: Farewell Friend
