Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264 ft)
Welcome to Kathmandu! Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, our representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner hosted by Crystal Himalaya Travel and Trek, where you’ll savor delicious authentic Nepalese cuisine. This is the perfect introduction to Nepal’s vibrant food culture. Spend your first night in the bustling city of Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing & Trek Preparation
After breakfast, embark on a guided tour to explore Kathmandu’s historical and spiritual landmarks, including UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as Kathmandu Durbar Square, the sacred Pashupati Nath Temple, Swayambhu Nath (the Monkey Temple), and Bouddha Nath Stupa. The afternoon is dedicated to pre-trek preparations, where you’ll meet your trek leader and team members during a briefing session. This is an opportunity to finalize equipment and make last-minute purchases. Rest and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 03: Drive to Sundarijal & Trek to Chisapani (2,300m/7,544 ft)
Start your day with a one-hour drive to Sundarijal (1,350m), the starting point of your trek. Begin trekking past a hydroelectric plant and enter the lush forests of Shivapuri National Park. The trail climbs gradually through Mulkharka, a Tamang settlement, and continues through oak and rhododendron forests to Chisapani. Enjoy the stunning views and spend the night here.
Day 04: Trek from Chisapani to Kutumsang (2,446m/8,022 ft)
The day begins with a descent through meadows and fields, offering breathtaking views of the Langtang mountains. Pass through villages like Pathi Bhanjyang and Gul Bhanjyang before climbing to another ridge and descending into Kutumsang. The trek offers a mix of landscapes and cultural encounters.
Day 05: Trek from Kutumsang to Thadepati (3,650m/11,972 ft)
Leave Kutumsang behind as the trail ascends steeply through fir and rhododendron forests. Without permanent settlements along the way, the path leads to Yurin Danda, offering panoramic views of the Himalayas. Reach Thadepati by the evening, a peaceful spot to rest and take in the stunning surroundings.
Day 06: Trek to Tarkeghyang (2,560m/8,397 ft)
Descend from Thadepati to cross the Melamchi Khola, then ascend through Sherpa villages toward Tarkeghyang. The trail offers captivating views of the Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, explore Tarkeghyang’s ancient monastery, one of the largest in the region, and immerse yourself in the culture of the Helmu community, often referred to as Helambu.
Day 07: Trek to Sermathang (2,610m/8,563 ft)
Enjoy a relatively easy trek through forests, streams, and waterfalls. The trail sweeps through the valley, passing the villages of Parachin and Gangyul before arriving at Sermathang. Explore the village and visit the Buddhist monastery perched at its highest point.
Day 08: Trek to Melamchi Pul Bazaar & Drive to Kathmandu
On the final day of trekking, descend through terraced fields and villages to Melamchi Pul Bazaar. This lively town is home to diverse ethnic groups, including Sherpas. From here, take a scenic drive back to Kathmandu. In the evening, celebrate your successful trek with a farewell dinner at The Ship Restaurant Bar & Lounge, known for its excellent menu and ambiance.
Day 09: Farewell
It’s time to bid farewell to Nepal and its majestic mountains. Spend the morning organizing photos, exchanging contacts, or enjoying some last-minute shopping. A representative will transfer you to Tribhuwan International Airport, ensuring you arrive three hours before your flight. As you depart, take with you unforgettable memories of your journey through the Helambu region. Safe travels!
