Once inside the park boundaries, we descend and enjoy a gradual walk that leads us to a suspension bridge over the Bhote-Koshi River. This bridge takes us to Jorsalle village, the final settlement before reaching Namche Bazaar. Namche is a bustling trading town and is considered the capital of the Khumbu region, offering a lively atmosphere and incredible views of the surrounding mountains.

This marks the start of the Imja Tse Valley, an area known for its rugged beauty and stunning views of surrounding peaks.

Dingboche is not only a scenic village, but it also serves as the gateway to Chukung and beyond, which offers access to some of the more challenging and remote trekking routes toward the Makalu region and Hinko Valley. Among these are the formidable Sherpani Col (6,100m/20,008ft) and the Amphu Laptsa Pass (5,780m/18,958ft), two of the most demanding passes in the region, attracting experienced climbers and trekkers alike.

Continuing on, you’ll reach Chola Lake, where the majestic Mt. Pumori (7138m) rises ahead of you.

Once you reach Duglha, the next segment of the trek involves a challenging climb up the steep terminal moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. This path will bring you to Chupki Lhara, a notable ridge adorned with memorials for Scott Fischer and Babu Chiri Sherpa.
