Day – 01 – Kathmandu Arrival and Transfer to Hotel
Arriving in Kathmandu on a clear day is truly exhilarating, with stunning views of snow-capped mountain peaks stretching below, creating an unforgettable first impression. Upon arrival, a representative and driver from our team will warmly greet guests and escort them to their designated hotel or resort. They will assist with check-in and provide a brief overview of the day’s activities. Guests are then invited to explore the local area at their leisure before enjoying a restful night at their hotel or resort in Kathmandu.
Day – 02 – Sightseeing around Kathmandu
After an early breakfast, guests will embark on a sightseeing tour to explore some of Kathmandu’s most iconic landmarks. The journey begins with a visit to Swayambhunath, a nearly 2,500-year-old site steeped in legend, believed to have been settled by the Radiant Lotus of the valley when drained by Manjushri, the god of Wisdom. From there, guests will head to Boudhanath, the world’s largest stupa of Tibetan Buddhist culture, before continuing to Pashupatinath Temple, situated along the Bagmati River and dedicated to Lord Shiva. Please note that non-Hindus are not permitted inside the Pashupatinath temple.
In the afternoon, the tour continues with visits to Kathmandu Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, Mahadev and Parvati Temple, and Machhender Bahl. Guests will also explore Bhaktapur City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its ancient town and vibrant medieval atmosphere. The evening will be free for guests to wander the local bazaars at their leisure. The day concludes with overnight accommodation at a hotel or resort in Kathmandu.
Day – 03 – Sightseeing tour around Bhaktapur & Patan and flight to Lumbini (Birth place of Buddha)
After a delicious early breakfast, guests will head to the Bhaktapur Durbar Square, famous for its rich cultural heritage and stunning craftsmanship. Bhaktapur remains the only place in Nepal untouched by Western influences. Key highlights include the Lion Gate, Golden Gate, the Art Gallery, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, Nyatapola Temple, and the Fifty-Five Window Palace.
Next, guests will be driven to Patan to explore its iconic Durbar Square, Mahabouddha Temple, Kumbeshwor Temple, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple, and other notable landmarks. Patan is an open-air museum, showcasing intricate carvings, pagoda-style temples, erotic artwork, and beautiful metalwork facades. Guests can also visit the handicraft center to appreciate local craftsmanship.
In the evening, guests will fly to Bhairahawa Airport, followed by a scenic one-hour, 25-kilometer drive to Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. Accommodation for the night will be provided at a hotel or resort in Lumbini, offering a peaceful retreat after a day of exploration.
Day – 04 – Shightseeing in Lumbini and drive to Chitwan.
After breakfast, guests will visit Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Buddha, before enjoying a delicious lunch. Following the visit, they will embark on a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Chitwan, located in the Terai plains. Known for its tranquil atmosphere, Chitwan is a haven for jungle and nature enthusiasts. Historically, it was the Royal hunting grounds for Nepalese kings and dignitaries, later becoming a popular destination for big game safari hunters. Today, it offers an opportunity to immerse in the natural beauty of Chitwan National Park.
The highlight of the visit is the thrilling Elephant Safari in the park’s lush jungles, usually conducted in the evening, depending on the arrival time at the resort. After the safari, guests can enjoy a captivating slideshow or attend a lively Tharu Folk Dance performance. The evening is free for a leisurely village walk or to relax and enjoy the stunning sunset views. Accommodation for the night will be provided at a hotel in Chitwan, offering a comfortable and peaceful retreat after an adventurous day.
Day – 05 – Chitwan Sightseeing
Early in the morning, guests will embark on a nature walk through the forest to observe its diverse flora and various bird species. Afterward, they will enjoy a boat ride along the lakes, ponds, and rivers of Chitwan, providing an excellent opportunity to spot a wide range of wildlife. A popular activity is floating down the river on a canoe for about an hour, followed by a relaxing walk back to the camp. For those seeking more adventure, an exciting option is to pedal down the fast-flowing Karnali and Geruwa Rivers.
After returning to the resort for lunch, the late afternoon will be reserved for an unforgettable Elephant Safari. Guests will ride atop an elephant, exploring the jungle and wildlife of Chitwan National Park. There will be opportunities to spot the one-horned rhinoceros, various species of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bears, leopards, and with some luck, the elusive Royal Bengal tiger. The safari lasts 2-3 hours, and guests will then enjoy a peaceful night’s stay at the resort in Chitwan.
Day – 06 – Drive Chitwan to Pokhara 4-5 hrs drive
If guests missed the Elephant Safari the previous evening, they will have the option to embark on the safari in the morning. After the safari, a hearty breakfast will be served, followed by a scenic drive to Pokhara. Located 165 kilometers away and approximately a 5-hour drive from Chitwan, Pokhara sits at an elevation of 900 meters and is the largest valley in Nepal. Guests can enjoy the picturesque mountain-side drive or choose a scenic half-hour flight to reach the valley.
Pokhara is renowned for its serene lakes and stunning views of the Himalayan peaks. Upon arrival, guests will explore key attractions, including the Old Bazaar, Bindhyabasini Temple, Seti Gorge, a Buddhist Monastery, the Pokhara Regional Museum, Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, the Tibetan Refugee Camp, and Barahi Temple, located in the middle of Lake Phewa. After checking in at the hotel, guests will have the evening free to explore the area at their leisure. The night will be spent in Pokhara, offering a peaceful retreat in this beautiful lakeside city.
Day – 07 – Pokhara Sightseeing
Early in the morning, guests will embark on a drive to Sarangkot Hill to witness the breathtaking sunrise and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountain range. From this vantage point, they can marvel at the majestic peaks, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna I, II, III, IV, Mt. Machhapuchhre, and many others. After soaking in the mesmerizing sunrise, guests will return to the hotel for a delicious breakfast.
Following breakfast, the next stop is the Peace Stupa. Guests can either cross Fewa Lake by boat and then undertake a 45-minute climb to reach the Stupa, or opt for a bus or jeep ride. Upon reaching the Peace Stupa, they can enjoy its serene atmosphere and panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Next, guests will explore David’s Falls, a beautiful natural waterfall, and the intriguing Gupteshwor Cave, an underground cavern filled with unique rock formations. After a day of exploration, guests will return to their hotel in Pokhara to relax and spend the night.
Day – 08 –Drive Pokhara to Kathmandu, 7-8 hrs drive or by flight 20 minute and Nagarkot Transfer
Nagarkot is celebrated for its breathtaking views of Mount Everest and other towering Himalayan peaks, making it one of the top destinations for mountain viewing in eastern Nepal. The highlight of a visit to Nagarkot is the spectacular sunrise, which paints the sky and the mountains in incredible colors. Spending the night in Nagarkot is essential for those looking to witness this mesmerizing sunrise and catch glimpses of Mount Everest and the surrounding snow-capped peaks.
In addition to its Himalayan vistas, Nagarkot offers a stunning view of the Indrawati River valley to the east. Located at an elevation of 2,195 meters, Nagarkot’s beauty captivates visitors year-round, with the months of November to March offering the clearest views.
Upon arrival, guests will check into their hotel, settle in, and, if time allows, enjoy the magnificent sunset. Spending the night at Nagarkot ensures an unforgettable experience of watching the sunrise and admiring the majestic Himalayan peaks at dawn.
Day – 09 – Final departure
As guests depart from Nagarkot to Kathmandu Airport, they will have the opportunity to witness the mesmerizing sunrise, offering a panoramic view that stretches from Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east. Situated at an altitude of about 7,500 feet, Nagarkot provides a breathtaking vista, and on clear days, guests may even catch a glimpse of the tip of Mount Everest.
After enjoying the beauty of the sunrise, guests will embark on a scenic drive of approximately 35 kilometers to Kathmandu Airport. Depending on the flight schedule, there may be time to explore the vibrant Thamel area or visit other places of interest along the way to the airport. This journey marks the end of the tour, as guests head to their onward destinations.
