Day – 02 – Sightseeing around Kathmandu
The day begins with an early breakfast, followed by an exciting sightseeing tour of Kathmandu’s key attractions. Guests will visit Swoyambhunath, a nearly 2500-year-old site believed to have been settled by the Radiant Lotus after the water in the valley was drained by Manjushri, the god of Wisdom. Next, they’ll explore Boudhanath, home to the world’s largest stupa representing Tibetan Buddhist culture, and the sacred Pashupatinath Temple, located beside the Bagmati River. The view also includes small villages nestled at an altitude of around 7500 feet, with Mount Everest’s tip visible on clear days. After soaking in the stunning scenery, you’ll drive approximately 35 kilometers to Kathmandu Airport. There, enjoy a delicious early breakfast before your onward journey. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore the nearby Thamel market for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
